A day in the life in Costa Blanca

Wake up to a fresh breakfast

Start your day with a relaxed breakfast in the courtyard of our private villa and linger over coffee enjoying the views of the Bernia Mountains.

9:00 am — Let’s roll!

Riders roll out from the villa’s front door. Today’s ride takes us through the terraced valleys of the Costa Blanca interior to the medieval village of Guadalest.

Meanwhile — Non-cycling guests explore Guadalest

Non-cycling guests make their way up to Guadalest by car. The medieval section of the village is carved directly into the mountain, accessible only on foot through a 15-foot tunnel cut into the rock. Here you can tour the Castillo de San José, an 11th-century Moorish fortress perched on the cliff's edge.

11:30 am — Late morning café Stop

The whole group reunites in Guadalest for a café stop. Riders and non-cycling guests gathered around the same table with views of the cliff-carved castles.

12:00 pm — Final miles back to the villa

Riders hit the road, descending from Guadalest, traversing the lower valley, then climbing up and over the Coll de Rates to our villa where lunch is waiting!

After the ride

Back at the villa, the full group comes together to enjoy an authentic Spanish dish: paella!

Afternoon of relaxing

The afternoon is yours. Spend it by the pool, with a good book, take a stroll through the olive groves surrounding the villa, or walk into the town of Xaló to explore the local artisan shops.

4:00-6:30 pm — Massages

Don’t miss your scheduled massage session! Today you've earned one (non-cycling guests, too!).

7:00 pm — Dinner at the villa

Good wine, good food, and good company. After dinner, we’ll review logistics for the next day. Quick teaser…it will include an afternoon by the coast!
